Free Weight Loss Seminars
The information seminars are free introductory lectures for patients interested in learning more about weight loss surgery. There is no obligation to either enroll in the surgical weight loss program or have surgery if attending the lecture, however, attendance at a lecture is required if a patient plans to make an appointment to see Dr. Goldstein in his office.
Dr. Goldstein lectures at two different informational seminars:
- A Virtua affiliated seminar designed to provide information only about the New Beginnings Program at Virtua Health. Please do not come to the Virtua lecture with the intention of asking about Dr. Goldstein's other option for pre and post operative support, as he will not be able to discuss them out of respect to the Virtua Hospital System.
- Dr. Goldstein's own private seminar where he discusses both the Virtua New Beginnings option and other options for pre and post operative support. It is at this lecture that you will learn not only about the different hospitals where Dr. Goldstein performs the Lap-Band operation, but the different pre and post operative evaluation and support programs available for you to choose from.
Please note that if your insurance provider will only allow your surgery to be performed at a Bariatric Center of Excellence, you must attend Dr. Goldstein's private lecture, where he can tell you about the Our Lady of Lourdes surgical option. Be sure to check with your health insurance provider, or human resources advisor, about where you can have weight loss surgery before choosing which seminar to attend.

- The Virtua affiliated sessions are held at either the Barry D. Brown Health Education Center on the Voorhees Hospital Campus in Voorhees, NJ, or the Virtua Health and Fitness Center in Washington Township, NJ (see dates with asterisk).

- Dr. Goldstein's next private session will be held at the Wyndham Hotel in Mt. Laurel, NJ.
