Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery

Dr. Goldstein is proud to be able to offer his patients the option of using minimally invasive techniques (through tiny incisions) to address many surgical problems. Minimally invasive surgery allows for shorter postoperative hospitalization and recovery time, as well as less immunological stress on the human body, less postoperative pain, and less risk of wound infection and delayed incisional hernia. Dr. Goldstein offers minimally invasive surgery for the following problems:

Single Incision Laparoscopic Surgery

Dr. Goldstein is now also offering Single Incision Laparoscopic Surgery (SILS) as an option for patients with gallbladder and colon disorders. This innovative technique allows Dr. Goldstein to perform abdominal surgery through one small incision located at the navel (or "belly button"), resulting in an almost "scar-free" cosmetic result. Be sure to ask him about this option during your appointment to see if you are a candidate for the procedure!
